About this item
This pair of dining / occasional bow-wood and textured skaï/ vinyl/ leatherette chairs, was produced by Steiner in the 50's,and designed by Wilhelm Von Bode in 1948.
They are from the first edition and are referenced as "bow-wood chair n°1."
The base is worked in one piece of solid bent ash. The seats are covered with white skaï.
A brass ring, the single point of attachment, joins the base and backrest, ensuring flexibility and comfort of sitting.
The chairs have their original manufacturer label and have been fully restored, to reflect their original beauty.
The surface of the wood structure has been revarnished. The chairs have been re upholstered with a new textured skaï .
The old horsehair stuffing has been replaced by a new foam HR 42 (high resistance), as well as the old springs replaced with new slings.
A new, cambric, desk cover fabric has been added, to provide more comfort, as well as to maintain and preserve the original, vintage look of the chairs.
Brass rings and screws remain original and have not been replaced.
To ensure protection, chairs will be shipped in two boxes.
