A stylish and iconic pair of vintage MR10 chairs designed by Mies Van Der Rohe. These were made by Thonet around the 1950-60’s.
They are beautifully made and are in great condition for their age, with a gorgeous patina. The black leather has just the right amount of wear, the tubular steel frames are clean and very sturdy.
Condition report:
The condition is very good overall, one of the chairs is missing one of the small curved supports under the seat. This is barely noticeable unless you look underneath, and this chair is still remarkably strong and sturdy. One of the cantilevered frames has a slightly different angle to the other, giving the appearance of a slightly different height. Not sure why this is, both chairs are extremely strong and sturdy, it doesn’t seem possible to bend the frames at all!
