About this item

Oh how we love Ercol. The iconic British furniture brand is not only notorious for its blend of quality craftsmanship but for their stylish designs also. Since 1920, this family business has produced hand-crafted furniture that stand the test of time.

This versatile couch features an attractive steam bent frame consisting of tapered spindles and arched arm rests while the back rest is formed from a large board of elm. Designed to function as a large couch and as an occasional single bed for guests, this distinctive sofa is both eye catching and wonderfully flexible.

Designed by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol in the 60s, this daybed does have signs of use and wear all over which we've tried our best to photograph. From a missing screw plug on the back, to some varnish drips, knocks, scuffs and marks.

It appears to have undergone some restoration at some point in time and we were told the green velvet cushions were re-covered in the 70s. While the webbing is nice and tight, the cushion isn't as firm as it once was but is still comfortable to sit on.

Measures approximately 207cm long, 81cm deep, 76.5cm tall with a seat heigh of 42cm seat height. The seat cushion measures 14cm thick.

A great statement piece of furniture, perfect for any home.
