About this item

The armchair was designed in the second half of the 1950s by Mieczysław Puchała in two versions: men’s (with a lower and slightly wider shape), and women’s (with slightly smaller dimensions and characteristic bent armrests). The two versions were manufactured by the Bystrzycka Furniture Factory (Bustrzyckie Zakłady Meblowe). This piece is the women's model. It has beech varnish wood combined with a yellow fabric giving it elegance and nobilility. The wood is finished with a satiny acrylic. It was produced in 1950 to 1959 in Poland.
