How do you describe your interior design style and how has this evolved over the years?<\/h2>\n

I\u2019d say it\u2019s eclectic, authentic and homely. I love nothing more than breathing new life into worn, tired items and sourcing antiques and vintage pieces over buying anything new.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

What do you use for inspiration when approaching a new project?<\/h2>\n

Nature and fashion. Even an antique fabric from my collection can be a starting block, but first and foremostly, I\u2019m always led by the house itself and its occupants.<\/p>\n

Top tips when choosing furniture for a space?<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Check, check and recheck its measurements!<\/li>\n
  2. Ask yourself – do you love it or is it just ticking a box? If it\u2019s the latter, hang on and wait to find the perfect piece it will always find its way to you\u2026<\/li>\n
  3. Is it doing what you need it to do? No point buying a beautiful looking chair if it’s so uncomfortable that no one ever wants to actually sit in it!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Your favourite vintage purchase?<\/h2>\n

    God that\u2019s hard – I have a weak spot for corner cabinet<\/em>s<\/a> I\u2019ve purchased about 4\/5 now for my own home and for projects and each one has been beautiful in its own way. I\u2019m also partial to a Swedish folk art chair\u2026<\/p>\n

    Do you have a favourite design era?<\/h2>\n

    Gustavian.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

    1 piece of advice when buying vintage or antique?<\/h2>\n

    Go with your gut.<\/p>\n

    Any favourite spots for inspiration?<\/h2>\n

    Durslade Farmhouse<\/a><\/em> in Somerset – its decor has a real wabi-sabi aesthetic.\u00a0I\u2019m also lucky enough to live right by the sea – so that and the sky is always an inspiration.<\/p>\n

    What is your best piece of renovation advice?<\/h2>\n

    Don\u2019t panic if things go \u2018wrong\u2019 it\u2019s in the mistakes that the magic can happen – it makes you think on your feet and solve a problem which opens up ideas and creativity that wouldn\u2019t otherwise of happened and\u2026\u2026.go with the flow.<\/p>\n
