Clerkenwell Design Week provided the opportunity to hear a panel of leading contributors unpack the report. They shed light on four leading trends appearing on the global stage, namely bilingual interiors, sugared Scandi, recharged wellness and fluent translation. We’re going to take a closer look at one trend which is rapidly gaining speed within the sphere of hospitality design: bilingual interiors.
Interior designer Joanne Burgess runs The Curious Home, which exists to provide an expert’s eye when it comes to sourcing salvaged and reclaimed materials for historical home renovations. Joanne’s multi-faceted approach to design has even equipped her with a knowledge of upholstery and she is known for breathing new life into one off pieces by covering them in bold prints!
Whether on one wall or all of them, finding an eye catching wallpaper can be a hugely rewarding design choice. Some are bold and vibrant, others are more whimsical with dainty colours. Dare to be brave this Spring and find a print which makes your soul sing!
Last week we were welcomed into the gorgeous home of the lovely Susie Lawrence. Her home is a feat of subtle yet playful colour, varying from dusty rose pinks to dramatic charcoal green-greys. Set in the Chilterns, it has an almost Wes Anderson magical quality. We hope you feel inspired too!
