It is that time of the year when we work ourselves up to tackle the much-needed Spring cleaning and, finally, make room for a fresh start. Nature is awake and promises an exciting season ahead, so now more than ever it is time to open ourselves to a change of perspective and invite colour and opulence into our homes. Straight from the runways comes the mix of animated, vibrant shades, ready to be embraced in both our closets and home decor. Let’s find out what are the top interior colour trends for Spring/Summer 2019 and discover the best furniture and decor pieces to jump the trend wagon.
The Spring/Summer colour palettes always come to lift our spirits after a long, stark winter of limited colour presence. In Spring collections, we are used to seeing sweet pastels and zesty shades that make us look at the world with optimism and evoke the feel of openness and freedom. However, this year brings something a bit different!
Pastels are still here, of course, but according to Pantone Colour Institute (the most famous colour authority in the world), seasons ahead will be coloured in rich, warm hues we usually associate with Autumn.
We bring you Pantone colour predictions for Spring/Summer 2019, but also what we learned by analysing what runaways and the biggest furniture fairs brought so far.
Let’s have a look at what’s cooking!
Yellow
Cheery, unisex yellow is, no doubt, the colour of the season, and we are about to experience its array of shades – from pale, egg-yolk yellow to almost mustard. If you haven’t already fallen in love with the yellow colour, we promise you – it is going to happen this year!
Pastel Yellow
The lightest of the bunch, pastel yellow is so lovely and optimistic. It sits somewhere between lemon and cream and is such a breeze to be around. It pairs well with other pastels.
