About this item

Head of Woman in ceramics from the Goldscheider company in Vienna, production already in the early 1900's of great success was cancelled by National Socialist Arianization in 1938: the Goldscheider family was forced to emigrate. The Goldscheider brothers succeeded in opening new ceramic companies while in exile in the United States and England. This is a rare example of American production in 1940. Object of rare beauty, the face modeled in an exemplary way the black lines that surround the eyes and eyelashes give a unique touch to the way of interpreting the art of shaping, to add uniqueness are the hair that from the forehead goes backwards as if it were above the headgear and reappears contouring the face under the veil. The work placed in an interior will stand out gently and create atmosphere. On the bottom the American brand, the initials of the master who made the work and the shopkeeper's label.
