About this item

Enamel with oak frame signed C. G and also signed Carl B. Gorell on the back with a glued note about the artist. The oak frame may be original but can´t be said for sure. That´s is why we also show the work unframed.

Translation of the note on the back of the enamel roughly reads:

Education at the Technical School, Gentofte, followed by Charlottenborg Kunstakademi, given by Wandel and Professor Lundström. Later at sculpture school by Frank Utzon, a long standing exhibitor at Charlottenborg. Exhibition at Kolibrien in Odense
1947. - Exhibited enamel presenter at Håndarbejdets fremme´s exhibition (advancement of craftwork) at the Kunstindustri Museum (Museum of Industrial Art) in 1957-1960. - Awarded Serdin Hansen's annual award in 1952 at Charlotteborg's first-class exhibition.
