Oil on canvas representing Christ crowned with thorns, mocked and flogged. The picture shows is Christ enduring suffering and resigning from the wounds that are inflicted.
Attributable to Cavedoni Giacomo (1577 Sassuolo 1660 Bologna), the first student of Annibale Carracci and the main aide of Ludovico Carracci, later in Rome, assistant of Guido Reni.
There are several copies of this painting by the artist himself, one of which is currently in the Louvre museum in Paris, while another is part of a private collection in Bologna.
Chronologically attributable to the 17th century.
It requires minor restorations.
