About this item

A gorgeous French antique porcelain figurine produced by Henri Ardant & Company in the late 19th century. The Limoges porcelain statue features a bull near a river. Colors and gilt are intense !

About the company: "In 1858, Henri Ardant created the company "Henri Ardant & Cie", and moved to the factory buildings on the Rue Cruveilher 6, Limoges.
H. Ardant has focused its activity on the production of decorative and artistic porcelain, mainly the biscuit. He has collaborated with many artists of that period, such as: Joseph Cheret, Sylvain Kinsburger, Hippolyte Moreau and Hector Lemaire."

It has been stamped on the underside with the company's mark: HA & Cie.

Condition: The figurine seems to have been restored, one piece of horn is broken and the tail was broken. A small splinter ona green leaf. Please take a close look at the photos, they are an integral part of the description. Despite these accidents, this rare piece is highly collectible.
